London: Press Release; The Labour Asian Society hosted a successful fundraising dinner earlier this week in Central London in support of Harpreet Uppal MP and Kirith Entwistle MP, bringing together key political figures, community leaders, and professionals from across the UK.

The event was attended by distinguished guests including the Rt Hon Ed Miliband, Secretary of State for Energy, Andrew Western MP, Minister for Transformation, Satvir Kaur MP, Minister in Cabnit, Claire Reynolds, Executive Director of Stakeholder Relations, The Labour Party alongside senior party officials, and prominent members of the Asian and wider Commonwealth communities. The evening reflected strong unity and engagement within the community ahead of the upcoming local elections.

Speakers included representatives from the Labour Asian Society, senior Labour Party leadership, and community figures such as Varinder Sharma, former Member of Parliament for Ealing Southall, Chief Patron Labour Asians Society, Vice President LAS Farhan Farani. They addressed the audience on the importance of solidarity, community cohesion, and political participation at a critical time.

Throughout the evening, speakers emphasised the need for unity within the community, particularly in the face of efforts to create division. They highlighted the importance of standing together to ensure a stronger, more inclusive Britain.
